In times of crisis, Christian believers know that God is our Rock, Fortress, Shield, Stronghold, a very present help in times of trouble. Never in all our lifetime, have we felt more in need of God's protection because of the threat of the Corona Virus. We are living in fear, anxiety and uncertainty. We are gregarious and struggling with self-isolation---some of us are sad and lonely, even though we know that we are never alone because God is with us.

We consider ourselves fortunate as we have families, friends and neighbours delivering food and essential supplies, including "Toilet paper!!!!!!!!!!"

As a Church family, we have maintained close contact with each other and offered support, love and encouragement. Strangely, we feel much closer to each other but we sincerely miss meeting   on Sunday mornings. We realise that Church Service on Sunday is for worship, fellowship and praise but also for  the social gathering,  for the joy of just meeting each other. We honestly cannot wait for our Church to reopen and we will praise God more wholeheartedly.

Our hearts go out to all those whose loved ones have died and pray that God will give them strength and courage. We thank God for those who have survived the virus attack and those who have managed to stay safe.

We would like to share this prayer by Annie Johnson Flint with you.

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labours increase,
To added affliction He addeth his mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father's full giving is only begun,
His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.  Amen.

Our love and prayers go out to our Ministers and all members in the Lambeth Circuit.
